Trainers/ Assessors

Established in 1934, the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia (MTA WA) has spent decades as a passionate advocate for the motor industry and assisting members in running and growing their business. The Association is a member-based and is the peak industry group for the Western Australian motor industry representing over 1,700 businesses.

We have a training arm, (the Automotive Institute of Technology) and we are also a Registered Training Organisation offering both classroom-based and employment-based training. We are currently seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated professionals to promote and deliver high-quality training to apprentices & trainees. We are particularly interested to hear from people who are looking for a new challenge but who also want to keep their technical skills sharp and remain at the forefront of a rapidly evolving Industry & Profession.  

If you possess the following essential criteria we would love to hear from you:

  • Light Mechanical Trade Qualification & Relevant Experience
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40110 or TAE40116
  • Experience Delivering & Developing training material
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Minimum 5 years post-trade experience
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Current training experience in an automotive capacity
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • Current drivers licence

A generous salary package, including a Company Vehicle is negotiable depending upon the skills and experience.
