The inaugural WA Automotive Industry Dinner which was set for the 5th of October and has now had to be rescheduled.

The Federal Government has called for a Council of Australia Governments (COAG) meeting for the 5th of October and the Premier has no alternative but to attend.  Due to this unforeseeable issue the dinner has been rescheduled to Thursday 22 March 2018.

The Premier has expressed his disappointment in not being able to attend in October and is committed to meeting members of the automotive industry at the new event on 22 March.

All members are encouraged to attend this important event which will be held at the State Reception Centre at Kings Park. The WA Automotive Dinner will be hosted by media personality Basil Zempilas and includes a three course meal prepared by multi award winning chef Chris Taylor. This is going to be a spectacular night and it’s vital that the automotive industry takes this opportunity to demonstrate to the Premier the significance of the automotive industry and the contribution that it makes to WA.

The dinner will also recognise the importance of training for the automotive industry with the awarding of Apprentice of the Year, Trainee of the Year and Employer of the Year. The MTA WA plans to grow the Awards program in the coming years to include successful businesses across the sector.

Nominations for the 2017 WA Automotive Industry Awards are now open.

Tickets to the WA Automotive Industry Dinner can be purchased from MTA WA for $110 each or $990 (inc GST) per table of ten online at www.mtawa.com.au , email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling 9233 9800.
