Around 20 Apprentices and 8 leaders from WA franchise dealership groups (see below) were provided the opportunity to meet with Minister for Small and Family Business, Skills and Vocational Education, Michaelia Cash last Wednesday, as she joined MTA WA Group CEO Stephen Moir to hear, on a first-hand basis, the needs and concerns of the Apprentice, Training and Franchise Dealership sectors.

These submissions have been made in the interest of our Federal and Regional Members to avoid paying additional costs to workers with the additional aim of a more consistent and rational State award scheme for small businesses in Western Australia. Further, the submissions call for caution with regard to alterations where evidence is insufficient to warrant such changes.
