About MTA WA

Established in 1934, the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia (MTA WA) is the largest and most effective peak industry group for the State’s motor industry.

The Association is the voice of the State’s motor industry, advocating and lobbying government on behalf of members. The MTA WA is the primary provider of support for the industry, supplying members with networking opportunities; advice on industrial relations, quality assurance, occupational health and safety; training; and Green Stamp accreditation.

We provide leadership to the industry in Western Australia on behalf of our members. The Association addresses issues affecting the industry such as legislation, industry standards, profitability, franchising, retailers’ margins, fair trading and unlicensed vehicle dealing.

We are committed to securing the future of the WA automotive sector by providing training excellence; our trainers have years of industry experience, are up-to-date with the latest technology and are passionate about providing apprentices and trainees with the skills that will make them a valuable asset to any business.

The Engine Room is the MTA WA's fortnightly eNewsletter which is distributed to over 2,000 automotive businesses.

The Association's website has over 3,000 visits and over 15,000 page-views a month. Visitors to the website are predominately automotive business owners and automotive apprentices. The MTA WA website is Western Australia's leading, authoritative source of automotive news and is highly regarded within the industry.
