Anti-lock braking (ABS), Traction control (TCS), and Electronic stability control systems (ESP®) are no longer optional or only found on high-end luxury vehicles. These systems are now legally required on all vehicles. The hydraulic and electronic systems form an integral part of vehicle operations including braking, transmissions engine management and diagnostics functions.

This course includes essential information about:
 System history and evolution (ABS, TCS and ESP®)
 Structure and operation of the various integrated systems including;
    - Anti-lock braking systems (ABS)
    - Traction control systems (TCS, ASR)
    - Stability control systems (ESP®, VDC, ESC, DSC)
 Current generation Bosch ABS system 8 and 9
 Active wheel speed sensor operation and diagnosis
