Motor Vehicle Dealers and Repairers legislation changes

16 December 2022 | MTA WA News

MTA WA continues to work with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) to ensure proposed changes to Motor Vehicle Dealers and Repairs legislation do not have unintended consequences for WA’s motor trades.

The Advocacy and Policy team is consulting with industry and government to understand the impending amendments and provide helpful advice to the department.
While the final wording and timing of the changes are up to Parliament, we understand the long-running issue is a priority that is likely to be debated before the middle of next year.

For those seeking more information, visit the department’s web page or contact the MTA team.
