The City of Joondalup City Centre was recently transformed into a vibrant hub of car culture as part of the highly anticipated Festival of Motoring. Enthusiastic crowds turned out in their thousands to immerse themselves in the excitement of the event.

The festival's pinnacle was undoubtedly Sunday’s Tyrepower Joondalup City Sprint. Competitors fiercely battled for supremacy on the 1.8km closed street track. Despite the damp conditions, the spirits of both participants and spectators remained undeterred.

In addition to the excitement of the races, the event showcased an impressive array of static vehicles from Perth’s largest car clubs.

The MTA WA was thrilled to be part of this exceptional event. Our marquee was a hive of activity, promoting our apprentice and employment services, registered training and accreditation, and membership services.

Whilst the MTA WA branded V8 Drive Day car put on a show on the track for the crowds, our young apprentices also played a crucial role in the journey by taking on scrutineering responsibilities. Angus Hutchson,  Zach Elliot and Jack Dymond were amongst the pit crews along with Trainer Bridget Bell in the Start Line Controller role were all recognised for their exceptional skills on the day.

A special mention goes to Event Director Justin Hunt and his dedicated team, who created a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. What an incredible day.
