The MTA WA is a Registered Training Organisation offering specialised training programs for Light Vehicle Technicians. Our competitively priced, industry-leading courses provide hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment, equipping apprentices with the skills to service and repair vehicles confidently.

The MTA WA delivers nationally recognised and accredited trade-relevant training. Our training program offer:

Our training approach is unique. We utilise short blocks of training at a hands-on facility and workplace assessments.

Most of the training blocks run for a duration of three days and apprentices attend five blocks of training per year. During this time, apprentices will complete both practical tasks and written tests.

The MTA WA has integrated electric and hybrid vehicle training into our apprenticeship program, ensuring apprentices are equipped with the skills needed for the future of the motor industry.

After each training block, employers receive a report and guidelines to support ongoing skill development in the workplace. Apprentices complete relevant tasks and provide evidence, such as job cards, to demonstrate their learning.

Assessors conduct regular workplace visits to provide additional training, support, and mentoring while ensuring apprentices stay on track. Final assessments take place on-site to reflect real-world conditions.
